This year has undoubtedly been the most casual one of my entire life. In fact, I would go so far as to say this little black casual dress is one of the dressiest things I’ve worn since March. Good thing I am the queen of smart casual!

I must admit that the little black casual dress plays a prominent role in my wardrobe…yep, I just counted seven in my closet. And yes, I’m always on the lookout for one more.

Why? Because they never go out of style and they’re oh-so-figure-flattering. I also love that I can change the mood of a casual LBD with a few accessories.

Yesterday, I was walking to my car and it occurred to me that the sun wasn’t beating down on my head; in fact, I was actually enjoying the stroll. It’s subtle, but there’s definitely a change in the air.

Will it stay? Are we actually entering Fall? Hmm, I can’t be sure as Florida weather is about as predictable as the 2020 headlines have been. You just never know what you’re going to get.

But, the unpredictability of tomorrow doesn’t mean that I can’t rejoice in the beauty of today.

34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:34

Worry is an insidious thing. We get into a habit of borrowing pain from unexperienced moments. Things have been so bad…surely something even worse is lurking just around the corner.

I’ll admit this unpredictable year has given us more than enough to worry and fret over. But, in our worried state, we often overlook the fact that we’ve only got one shot at today.

So, I think I’ll go sit on the porch to enjoy the weather and hope for many more days just like it.

Beautifully-written and so true. I worry so much all the time, though this year in particularly I try not to fret over things I have no control over. Where in FLORIDA do you live?! I already miss Summer. Our winters are too long and too cold lol.

You look beautiful in that LBD that looks like a two-piece Shellie. Love those classic black espadrille shoes.

Welcome by and join a very special linkup on my blog today and I run a weekly one every Thursday. =)

      Hey Ada,

I live in the Tampa Bay area. I try to take the days one at a time. The Bible warns us not to worry about tomorrow, but to trust Him with each day. I will be at your next linkup. 😉

  2. Congrats! This outfit made it to the Top of the World OOTD readers’ fav!

  3. This dress is gorgeous. Love the flaring hem. Perfect for dancing.

I love this outfit… It reminds me of France and how I really need a pair of espadrilles next year! Used to have a pair of pink ones when I lived in France. I have tried a dress over a skirt but I have at least 2 that I know I could try this with!

Yes, I bought a few pair of espadrilles (aspargatas) in Madrid, but I was so intimidated by the language and the long line that I ended up with the wrong size! 🙄😏🤔
