Christmas is less than three weeks away, which means my little family of four will soon be reunited! This mama can’t wait…happy dance. This season is filled with such special memories of years gone by and the promise of new moments to come. Now, if I can just get the gifts wrapped and ready before they all get back.
We are living in a small place while we are in Florida for the year, so I embarked on the strategic feat of fitting in four adult bodies comfortably. After a little shuffling and some creative furniture placement, I think I’ve come up with a place for each of us to sit. This will make it easier to get in our favorite Christmas movies!
Red Christmas Dress
Christmas and the color red are a match made in heaven…so, it’s no surprise that I found this gorgeous red Christmas dress. Red is my signature color, but it’s often hard to find red clothing. But, this is the one time of year I can actually find it in ample supply!
I actually found this red dress on a clearance rack. Of course, I was first attracted to the color, but I also love the lace cutouts over an inner slip.
I decided to style this sheath dress in two different ways. First, I paired it with a black motor cycle-style jacket. The feminine detailing of the dress is contrasted nicely by the jacket.
Then, I chose a black wrap for a more traditional party look.

I’m taking a little break from my fashion posts for a the next few weeks. It’s time to step back, breath and enjoy my family. I am also increasingly aware that life passes by at the same rapid clip every year, but it’s up to me to actually take the time to notice and live it!
