Last week brought some cooler weather, which means I finally got to pull out some cold weather clothes just in time for Thanksgiving.  I have been looking forward to wearing my black and white poncho. This outfit was also perfect for showing off my new bracelet gifted to me by Happiness Boutique.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who celebrated Thanksgiving more than once. First, I got together with my family and kids for a Saturday celebration. It’s always fun to sit around the table reminiscing about the mishaps and “not-so-perfect” times that make the best family memories.

Then, I said goodbye to my kids who went off for a ski vacation and headed up to Greenville, SC to spend the Thursday with my husband’s family. I told him I was spending the holiday with somebody’s kids, even if it wasn’t my own! After stuffing ourselves a second time, we somehow managed to stuff our car with tons of Good Friday goodies. I am actually one of those people who love the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping. Maybe, it’s because I’m only in America for one Christmas out of every five years.

Black And White Poncho

This black poncho pulled me in the minute I saw it. Of course, I’m always a softy for black and white.

I found this poncho on a Marshall’s clearance rack. The geometric pattern and weight of the poncho makes a strong statement, so I made it the star of the show. I chose a crisp white blouse, skinny boyfriend jeans and faux suede booties for the back drop.
