I am pumped about this month’s My Refined Style Fashion Over 40 Linkup! The most exciting part is that I have actually slowed down enough to really enjoy the linkup. The last several months I’ve had little extra time to stop or smell the roses.
Striped Shirt Dress
I found this striped shirt dress on sale at Banana Republic. The button-up construction adds structure to this otherwise casual dress. I also prefer the fixed band waist to the typical tied waist because it looks more streamlined.
The light construction makes this dress great for summer, but I can easily see it worn with a blazer over jeans when the days start to get cooler. Who knows…maybe I’ll have to come back with a restyle in a few months!
The crisp blue color of this shirt dress is strong enough to stand alone, so I carried the same color through all of my accessories.
This lovely pair of reading glasses I received from Readers.com is just the right touch to finish off the outfit.
