The FABulous Journey – Celebrating One Year!
February 13, 2016Gift Of Time – Wonderful Wednesday
February 17, 2016Outfits don’t have to be elaborate to have huge impact. Today’s look incorporates statement jewelry and a statement color.
Also, make sure to hang on till the end of the post where I’ll be highlighting featured looks from My Refined Style #5 Fashion Over 40 Linkup!
Statement Jewelry, Statement Color
I know this whole fashion thing can seem pretty intimidating for the style newbie. You know you want to amp up your style quotient, but does every outfit have to consist of so many elements? I do admit some outfits can be rather complicated, but a simpler approach can pack just as much punch.
This outfit really is just as simple as a top, pants and shoes.
It’s the statement jewelry and color choice that make this outfit special. This stunning royal blue color provides the perfect backdrop for these two statement necklaces. The long black necklace is a hand-beaded creation I picked up in Laos. Then, I added a black heart choker necklace to finish the look.
Just remember, you can keep it simple…with clean lines and a flattering silhouette. Then, allow a piece of statement jewelry or a stunning color, OR BOTH, to carry the show!

Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. Royal blue looks great on you. How do you manage all these buttons? They would drive me crazy! I would never get that shirt closed! LOL.
Actually Nicole, every other button is not a real button, so it’s easier than it looks 😉
The blue is gorgeous and the perfect backdrop for the beautiful necklaces!

Shellie, what good advice! Statement jewelry can make one outfit a number of others and is a good way to step into the more daring…if one so chooses. I LOVE those necklaces! They are gorgeous.
