Celebrating One Year
“You’ve come a long way baby,” seems to best symbolize this first year of blogging. Exactly one year ago today I published my first fashion shoot. Two weeks before I actually introduced The FABulous Journey in my first post.
I knew nothing about blogging and had absolutely no network! My first few viewers came from my friends on Facebook. In fact, I did not have an account on any other social media outlet at the time. I was just a girl with a dream…haha, no I’m not going there! Still, I’m excited to see how far this little blog has come in a year.
When I opened my Twitter account, I had one organic follower…one! I want to send out big virtual hugs to those of you who first took a chance to follow a gal with 10 followers.
Although I could thank lists of people, I want to mention just a few who have encouraged me along the way. Karren from Oh My Heartsie Girl took me on as a co-host for her Wonderful Wednesday linky party when I had only been blogging for a few months. She showed me what a great opportunity bloggers have to lift up and encourage other women.
I also want to give a shout-out to Elena from Living With Batman and Kimberly from Fifty Jewels. Both of these women befriended me early. They’ve both given me some great advice and encouragement along the way. When it comes right down to it, the blogging community is filled with some top-notch folks who are more than happy to help in any way they can.
Finally, to all of you who have followed me, left an encouraging comment or linked up to a party…I want to say a heartfelt thanks to you all. I’m looking forward to another fantastic year of blogging as we continue along this FABulous Journey.
