I just came back from a weekend visit with my baby girl. Her university is an 8-hour’s drive up the interstate from Tampa. About half way through our journey we stopped at a rest area. As soon as we emerged from the car I could feel Fall in the air.

We had a great time meeting her new friends and looking around her new adopted hometown. Most of all, I enjoyed seeing how well she’s doing in her new element.

Black Jersey Sheath

This black jersey sheath is the perfect way to look elegant and put together while feeling the comfort of a nightgown. You can’t get any better than that!

I found this black jersey sheath at Marshall’s. The sheer stripes at the top add lightness to the top. I added a silver pendulum necklace I picked up from a Jones New York store last summer.

Then, I added the quintessential denim jacket. You know, that denim jacket every woman should have in her wardrobe. Black and denim make an excellent pair. Also, the denim jacket keeps the look casual and current.

Finally, I finished off the look with silver espadrille wedges. Remember, you don’t always have to match your shoes with your outfits.

I’m hoping our cooler weather is also on the horizon here in Tampa, but until then I’ll just enjoy my sandals and painted toes 😉 For all of you who are already enjoying the chilly temps of Fall, enjoy your boots and sweaters. Hopefully, I’ll catch up with you soon.
