peter pan collar
An embellished Peter Pan Collar adds a sophisticated feel to this casual outfit

The weather continues to show no sign of letting up here in Florida, so I am still in hot weather clothes mode. Still, it’s nice to think about the prospect of cooler weather on the horizon.

Cute Peter Pan Collar

I chose this cute little Peter Pan Collar and patterned pants because it’s hot today, but this outfit could easily transition into Fall with a button-up sweater and closed-toe shoes.

I picked up this cute Ann Taylor top at a discount store for a song.

Then, I paired it with these patterned pants from Marshall’s. If you haven’t tried patterned pants, I encourage you to give them a try. Patterned pants add instant visual interest to an outfit and they also make it very easy to mix in other patterns. For instance, these pants would look fabulous with a Fall floral top, like this one from Mod Cloth.

I chose these glittery Opal readers from Readers.com to continue the silver effect.

My Book Is Out!

This past weekend I officially launched my book, Find Your Weigh. I have wanted to write a book for years, but I never thought it would materialize. Quite frankly, blogging finally brought it into the realm of possibility. In essence, I blogged my book over the past year and a half.

During that time, I shared a lot about my weight journey and what I had learned to finally get my weight in check after two decades of yo-yo dieting. It was really life-changing and I wanted others to try it for themselves. But, the more I blogged about it, the more I realized how difficult it would be for anyone to trace my process unless I organized everything into an easy-to-follow process. So, that’s what I did and I’m so excited about it!

If you are like me and you’ve struggled with the same twenty to forty pounds, then I encourage you to give my book a try.

  5. I think this kind of collar is perfect for the woman who doesn’t want to have to bother with accessories!
I may not be that woman, but even I’d wear this shirt!!
