The ever-changing weather can make it tough to transition your clothing from winter to spring. One day you’re convinced that warmer days are here to stay and the next day you’re pulling on your winter coat and a frown to match.

We know layering is the easiest way to take our clothing through the moody weather of Spring, but we’ve grown tired of jeans and boots and want to pull out something a little more feminine.

Transition Clothing From Winter To Spring

Opaque hose are a great way to transition from winter to spring, because they allow you to wear a dress while protecting your legs from chilly temperatures.

Full coverage is yet another added benefit of opaque hose. After all, some of us could blind passers-by with the whiteness of our winter legs 😉

Denim On Denim

I think denim on denim works great as a transition look. The key to making this look work is choosing denims with different intensities. Notice that the darker jacket contrasts nicely against the lighter dress. Check out another one of my posts on mixing denims.

It’s much easier to make this look work when the weather is not agreeing with your “springy” aspirations! For this denim on denim look, I chose a floral belt and l some feminine jewelry pieces.

Then, I anchored the look with some chunky loafers. These black loafers add nice weight and balance to  the black opaque hose.

I could easily peel off these hose; stuff them in my bag and put on lighter shoe if the temperature heated up in the afternoon…as they say, “easy, peasy lemon squeezey.”
