This week, my husband and I took a road trip through a few American states on our way from Florida to Missouri. For just a while, I was an interactive part of an impressive landscape. I was reminded just how far Tampa is from Springfield, Missouri, but then I also had the opportunity to take in some gorgeous views of America.

It’s so easy to take things for granted when you see them everyday, but you can also gain a new appreciation for the beauty around you when you make a conscious effort to look for it.

I saw some beautiful sights on my American road trip…rolling hills, vast rivers, lush green grass and wheat fields that stretched as far as the eye could see. All of these pointed to the immense beauty of our country and the intricate handiwork of a mindful creator.

Of course, it felt fabulous to finally make it to our destination…who doesn’t want to plop down into a big fluffy, vibrating, camouflaged recliner (at the Bass Pro mother ship store) at the end of a long trip?!
