This week I wore a clean and classic shorts outfit to the mall with some friends. Each time one of our birthdays rolls around we all get together to treat the birthday girl to lunch. We decided to go to Megamall; one of Manila’s most popular shopping destinations.
Classic Shorts
As the temperatures rise, we all want to wear clothing that is cool and comfortable. In tropical weather, shorts are often my favorite choice for beating the heat. Bermuda shorts are my favorite because they provide a little more coverage, yet are still cool and comfortable. My friend, Connie, wanted to make sure you got a real glimpse of my day and my grocery basket 😉
When choosing Bermuda shorts, I often pay close attention to how they taper at the bottom. If the bottom hem is too wide, the shorts can make your legs look shorter. Sometimes, I have my shorts altered to taper them in gradually from mid-thigh to knee (this alteration is also manageable with little sewing skills and a sewing machine). The most flattering hemline should hit above the knee cap.
Shorts outfits don’t have to be frumpy or unfashionable. A monochromatic color palette lends sophistication and pulls everything together.
Adding a few statement jewelry pieces also amps up the style quotient.

I have been on the hunt for flattering burmuda shorts for years! Last summer I cut off some BF jeans and they looked kinda cute. These classics look chic on you! My summer go to is a maxi skirt or dress.

This is a great length of short and I like they are lose fitting for this length.
