Fond Farewell – Wonderful Wednesday
April 27, 2016I am excited about the Latin style trend for Spring/Summer!
I hope by now you all are experiencing some warmer weather. Here in Manila I have had my share of hot. So, most of my energy is spent trying to figure out how to stay cool! This is an especially fun proposition with an international move looming on the horizon…yikes!
I am looking forward to spending the next year in Florida, but there is so much to do before we actually get there.
Latin Style Trend
I am happy that Latin style is trending for Spring/Summer. There is something about it that just speaks fun! Latin style is known for it’s vibrant colors and flamboyant details. And, I especially appreciate its breezy and cool appeal at this time of year.
Today’s outfit is high on details! Even though the base of the outfit is monochromatic, the color still takes center stage in the accessory choices.
I actually purchased this Ann Taylor skirt over a decade ago, but it has stood the test of time. The beads and poms poms give it a decidedly Latin feel. The romantic style of the flowing peasant top further complete the look.
I added a structured black belt to keep the waist defined. This is an important consideration when wearing a blouse like this one that has a considerable amount of fabric.
I chose accessories with accents of yellow, orange and turquoise to round out the look.
The Loft is having a fabulous 60% off sale on some of it’s sale merchandise! I found three fabulous, Latin-inspired peasant blouses on sale.
