It’s exciting to see the promise of Spring awaiting just around the bend. Today we’re looking at the Spring 2016 tie dye trend.
Spring 2016 Tie Dye Trend
Tie dye is a major style trend for Spring. Typically, tie dye evokes visions of bohemian style and floppy hats, but this season’s designs show this trend used in much more traditional forms, while still maintaining a flowing, casual feel.
How To Wear Over 40
Tie dye makes a strong style statement, so a little bit goes a long way! When sporting this trend over 40, try focusing on just one piece of your wardrobe…like this tie dye sweater.
I paired this coral tie dye sweater with a simple tank and jean skirt. While the styling of these pieces is rather understated, the color combination makes quite a statement! I love how this deep purple tank and amethyst jewelry pieces work with the coral.
The belt is the segue piece that helps pull all the colors together.

The purple and coral look great together! I have never been a tie-dye person, however, I can see myself getting on board with items like your cardigan and a couple of other pieces you featured. Also, your skirt is just too cute!

Ohh I really love coral and that Tie dye is surely something that I believe will work. Spring trends could gt nasty at times if one isn’t keen and I think you have furnished me half a wardrobe already. Thanks for the share.

Hi Cindy, I’m glad you like it! I am so with you on the fact that we have to be careful with the trends. I always consider the trends as a starting point, then I pick and choose what works for me.
Tie-dye is a great trend, but I have not trend it yet. I would wear something like your cardigan. It is really cute!
Yes Lanae, the sweater is a more mainstream treatment of tie dye.
Coral is a great colour on you, and one of my favourites too. I haven’t ventured into the tie dye theme yet, but will have to look into that now. Spring here we come!

So cute!! I’ve always liked a little tie dyed mixed in from time to time. I have a tie dye just above the knee skirt that I got at Macy’s probably 5 years ago. Throw on a little white tshirt and it’s perfect for spring and summer. 🙂
