My Favorite Looks Of 2015
December 28, 2015What I Learned In 2015
January 2, 2016I was walking through the fresh market when I spotted these sunny yellow lemons. They just beckoned me to buy them, so I did. And what do you do when life gives you lemons??…you make lemonade, of course!
But then, things weren’t going to be as easy as that! First, I had to figure out where in the world I had seen the lemon juicer. I was positive I had one in my kitchen…somewhere. After an extensive search I finally found it.
My darling husband helped juice the lemons while I made the sugar syrup. Do you know how much sugar it takes to make a tasty lemonade? It takes entirely too much! Nonetheless, in the end I had a small container of lemonade to show for all my effort.
Are you facing the dawn of a new year with nothing but lemons? We all experience those valleys in life where it’s hard to find the silver lining around our all-too-soggy cloud. If this is you, I want to encourage you that beauty can be found in even the worst of circumstances.
In the end we always have a choice to make when facing tough circumstances. We can choose to let them defeat us or we can decide to learn and grow in spite of the pain.
My each of you grasp the potential and promise of this New Year and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Have a lovely new year, Shellie …I do have a glass of warm water with fresh lemon drops every morning. It’s fresh and healthy 🙂
Happy New Year to you as well! I have heard that lemon water is really good for you. I should try it.
Thanks for a wonderful, inspirational post! Happy New Year!
Thanks Debbie…so glad you stopped by!
Great message to end the year, Shellie! I love home made lemonade, but hate making syrup and juicing lemons. LOL! I hope you have a wonderful NYE and new year!
Thanks Regina…have a blessed New Year!
Shellie, Happy New Year, and thank you for co-hosting WW! I love lemons and keep them for my drinking water, year round. Last winter I experimented with germinating seeds from store-bought lemons, and now have some healthy plants in my sunroom! Just one of my crazy life hobbies ( [landscape] gardening) that I reviewed from the past year in this week’s party….
Hey Rita, so it sounds like you have quite a bit of lemon expertise!
