Hi girls! This week we have a full fashion over 40 post. I am sharing a super-cute mod print dress and then, my featured looks from the first My Refined Style linkup. So, make sure to check out these featured fashionistas at the end of the post. Also, this is the last week to enter the Fabulous Fall Giveaway
I am wearing a dress inspired by the Fall 2015 60’s Mod Trend. Of course, we plus-40 women are never slaves to any trend and most of us would agree that most runway looks were never meant to be worn by the average consumer.
But, we can definitely draw inspiration from them. Here is an example of a mod dress from the Valentino Fall 2015 collection. My primary takeaway inspirations are the print and vivid colors.
I am wearing a dress designed by my friend, Kasey Godoy. Kasey and I first met at the gym several years ago. Even though our lives and schedules took us in different directions, I have always kept up with her. A few months ago I discovered that Kasey and some friends had started a dress line, KASH. I love having an opportunity to showcase a budding Filipina designer.
Kasey creates simple sheath dresses that major on vivid colors and patterns. I was immediately drawn to this print shift dress because it evokes the 60’s mod vibe.
Apart from the gorgeous color, I like the comfortable cut of the dress because it fit loosely, yet still tapers in at the knee to provide a flattering line. The cut and style of the dress is equally suited for neutral heels or flats.
For another look I chose a silver tassle necklace (Jones New York), silver bangles (Brighton) and stainless steel rings (Fossil).
For my friends in the Philippines, Singapore and UAE…check out KASH!
I was beyond thrilled with the support and interest from so many fabulous over 40 gals for the first My Refined Style Linkup. We had 92 links and over 4800 views…and may I say, you girls looked awesome!
Make sure to follow the My Refined Style Pinterest Board.
I am sharing just a few of my favorite fashionistas from the linkup. I will be pinning these ladies on the My Refined Style Pinterest Board as well!
Debbie shared a super-cute lace trimmed sweater with skinny jeans and I must say her red hair looked absolutely fabulous.
Mary brought us tweed with a twist. The peekaboo cobalt blue color really elevated the whole look.
Ana looked so chic in her long tweed blazer and skinny jeans.
Phew, and that wraps it up for this fabulous fashion over 40 post. Have a fabulous week!
