Creamy Enchilada Verde Recipe
August 29, 2015They Were Singin’ In The Rain
September 1, 2015Sometimes the most simple looks pack the biggest punch. Isn’t this sweet and simple cherry red dress the cutest? Plus, it matches the colors of my FABulous Journey logo so well ;)!!
Choose A Simple Dress
Red is one of my favorite colors and it’s not always easy to find. So, when I see something as cute as this dress I have to try it out. The scalloped edges of the dress combined with the stunning color give real visual appeal to this simple style.
Since the dress can stand alone, I chose to pair it with simple accessories. First, I paired it with Nine West canvas and cork platform slingbacks. Flesh colored shoes elongate the leg and allow the dress to be the star of the show.
The cherry red color of the dress provides just the right backdrop for the brightly colored turquoise necklace.
This dress was another one of my fun finds during my dress up day at RAOK Boutique in Plant City, Florida. Thanks again Brigitte for letting me have such fun in your shop and thanks Karen Gillman for the great pics!
I also want to send a shout-out to Karen this week as she is recovering from eye surgery to insert new lenses into both of her beautiful eyes. Please send up a prayer for complete healing and restored vision.

That turquoise necklace (where is that from?!) and the red dress is just amazing; those are my two favourite colours together! In fact, those were my wedding colours. You look great in them. xx
Hi Lisa, it is from a small boutique in Florida. The link to their FB page is at the bottom of the post, RAOK Boutique. Yes, those made a great color combo! Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks Antoinette, right back atcha!
Hi Shellie! This shade of red is one of my most favorites too! Just got a couple of “tops” to wear over my jeans in that shade. Was thrilled to find it too! Usually one sees the darker shade! In fact, the top half of my garment is that exact shade of blue in your necklace!
I do hope Karen recovers quickly and gets back to her routine!
Love your header! 🙂
Wow, you were really fortunate to find several tops in that color! Red is usually hard to come by unless it’s Christmas. Karen’s surgery went great and now she can see without any glasses at all…thanks for mentioning it.
Love the colour combination! Just wish I had the confidence to wear dresses or even skirts! But I’m afraid, I live in jeans! #MidLifeLuv
