Wordless Wednesday – Still My Baby

My son just finished his freshman year in college. Now, he is spending a few weeks with his grandparents before leaving for some summer work. Last weekend they attended the first birthday of my precious little great nephew, Brooks. He’s such a cutie!
I have not seen my son since Christmas, so when my niece posted the pictures of the party, I cruised through them looking for a glimpse of my boy. I finally came across this picture and it brought a lump to my throat.
He may be 19 years old, but to me he’s still my baby boy. It seems like it was just yesterday that we celebrated his first birthday and he was cute and squeezy, just like little Brooks.
There are no words to describe a mama’s love for her babies, no matter how old they are!

My son is 5 and I would call him baby and one time he asked me why I am calling him that instead of his name now that he is a boy. I said this, no matter how old you are you’ll always be my baby =)

I always tell my son he’ll always be my baby. He’s 33 now and we live 1000 miles apart. I miss him dearly and can appreciate how you felt when you saw your son’s picture. Your son is very handsome and has a great smile!
Aww, he is a cutie…I am 10,000 miles from mine, but I get to see him a month from TODAY!
