Lipstick and Face masks
June 11, 2020July 4th Memory Roundup
July 2, 2020I’ve been back in the US for about two and a half weeks now and things are just starting to settle into a groove. However, that doesn’t mean that I have managed to adjust my schedule to this hemisphere. When I’m in Asia, I live my life a day ahead of the US. Typically, I post at night so that my American peeps can read in the morning.
So, you can see how this is messing up this night owl who is not so keen on mornings!!!
While the sun shines hot and the clouds are bright here in Florida, it seems that all is not as bright as it seems. Unfortunately, the Covid virus continues to rage; especially here in my home state of Florida. So, I decided it was time for a red outfit to pick me up.
Time For A Red Outfit
The color red just makes me happy. I love this easy look and it is oh-so-comfortable! Of course, who doesn’t love wearing leggings? For me, the key to leggings is to pair them with a top that is long enough to cover everything I like to keep covered! 😉
While I like the simple look of the top and leggings, I felt that layering on a denim top really elevated the look to the next level.
I think a lot of us are having a hard time wrapping our minds around a virus that we can’t see, but when I think about it, we Christians should be really good at living in peace with what we can’t see.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
Our hope is built on the unseen. We can fix our eyes on Christ and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is for us…He sees us…and He will see us through!
Phew…a great word and an awesome red outfit, now that’s something to be happy about!

Red is such a great color. It always picks up my mood.
And I can’t imagine the adjustment of time sense between continents! Just visiting my son 2 time zones away rattles my rhythms.
Yes, I find that it takes my mind a little longer to catch up than my body.
Red seems to be a good color for you! Thanks for sharing with us at The Blogger’s Pit Stop!
I like everything about your outfit, Shellie! The bold red with the black leggings is so pretty and the addition of the shirt adds to the whole look. Love those shoes, too. I bought a pair of espadrilles this summer and really enjoy them! Please stay safe!!
Great look! I like this kind of simple casual outfits and wear them myself quite often!
Thanks Leelo! It’s nice to look put together and still feel comfortable.
I love that I am seeing so many ladies wearing bright colors: just puts a smile on my face. I love red too as well as other brights. Those espadrilles complete the look quite well.
