Today, I’m sharing what I really wore last Tuesday to cast my vote for election 2016. I decided to wear a little blue on blue to show my patriotism….of course, I didn’t want to clash with my “I Voted” sticker.

Although a lot of our friends chose early voting, we both decided to exercise our privilege on election day. Having lived overseas for many years, my husband and I take our rights as citizens very seriously. It was great to see that so many other Americans did as well.

Blue On Blue – What I Really Wore

Blue is the go-to color for many of us. If you were to look into my closet, you would discover that the color blue gives my signature black a run for it’s money!

I was drawn to this long blue top because it has great weight and draping. Weight is important for long tops because it causes them to hang better on the body.

My husband was the photographer for the day, so that explains the laugh. His technique usually involves clicking as fast as the camera will reset itself, which means it’s up to me to throw in as much movement as I can within the allotted frames.

Skinny cuffed boyfriend jeans were the perfect complement to this blue top. This cut of jeans works especially well with wide-legged booties.
