Grad Hats And Jet Planes – Favorite Things
June 2, 2016

I can see summer shining just around the corner. So, before we jump into the summer season, I thought I would share my favorite Spring looks.

Favorite Spring Looks

One thing I notice right away is that most of my looks share a strikingly similar color palette. What can I say? I was made for black and white. How about the rest of you…do you typically gravitate to a particular color?

If you have a found a color that works particularly well for you and your coloring, then I encourage you to adopt it as part of your signature style. Black is well suited to my hair and skin tone. I wear it a lot because it looks good on me…not because I think black is the essential go-to color for women over 40.

Favorite Spring Looks

I picked these four looks because they show that a developed style point of view doesn’t have to be just one thing. Still, common elements run through every look. I like clean lines, sharp contrasts and bold jewelry pieces with just a little edginess thrown in for good measure!

When thinking about favorite Spring looks with a developed style point of view, I immediately thought of Jess from Elegantly Dressed And Stylish. I love how she injects romantic elements into everything she wears. Notice how vintage style jewelry, floral prints and cat eye glasses play so nicely against her tall frame and gorgeous red hair. She knows exactly how to rock her style.

Loving It, Shellie

  1. I also have a lot of black in my wardrobe, and I love black and white together. It’s also going to be the base of my travel wardrobe this year, mixed in with some colorful accessories.

I really like your spring looks!
