April 9, 2016Feeling Seussical – Wonderful Wednesday
April 13, 2016I am sporting the skort this week for “what I really wore.”
Skort
No I didn’t jet off to Venice over the weekend…just a cute backdrop at a local mall! I chose this outfit for a coffee date with a friend. I’ve been so busy with packing and doing the last few weeks, it was great just to get away for a few hours.
OK, so I didn’t choose the lightest options; but hey, a girl’s got to let loose every now and then.
I don’t like to wear short skirts, but a skort is a workable alternative. The skort gives the appearance of a skirt, but provides the comfort and coverage of shorts.
When wearing a skort, consider these following tips. Generally, skorts are cut in an A-line style, so make sure they don’t hit at the widest part of the leg. Also, this look is most flattering if it hits above the knee, rather than at the knee cap or below.
I often like to have a sweater when I go out because I’m often too cold in the air-conditioning. Tying a light sweater at my waist adds shape and a pop of color.
I finished off the look with my navy blue reading glasses from readers.com. Make sure to come back for my Thursday favorite things post. I will be running a giveaway for a new pair of readers from their new Spring line!

Hi Michelle, I’m so glad you stopped by! Yes, I thought the bicycles were unique. I also love the contrast between the green and navy blue.
