Keep Dessert Separate From Mealtime
October 15, 2015My Happy Place – Wordless Wednesday
October 21, 2015Gray is on the color palette for Fall. It felt appropriate for me to do something in gray this week since it’s been raining outside since last night. Here in Manila we are experiencing the fringe of a typhoon that is passing over the northern part of our island.
The diagonal cut of this leopard print, flowing blouse plays nicely against the straight line of the gray maxi skirt. This outfit would also look cute layered with a short denim jacket.
I paired the gray leopard blouse with two Kendra Scott necklaces: a gorgeous tasseled pendant necklace and a antiqued choker style. Her jewelry is made with such quality and attention to detail.
Gray doesn’t have to be boring. Just remember to add a few special accessories and details to hold visual interest.
Speaking of gray, how is everyone adjusting to the shorter days and cooler temperatures? I was on the road last night on the way back from airport. It felt like eight-thirty, but it was only six!
I’m still trying to decide if I really like maxi skirts. I know a lot of woman really like them because of the coverage and comfort, but I’m not 100% sold on the concept for me. What do you all think…yes or no?

Thanks Alice!
I like that maxi skirt on you…it might look even better with a not so flowy top? It could be that you’re on the fence because there’s a lot of material going on? jodie

Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. I hope the typhoon does not cause too much damage and everyone is fine.
Hi Nicole, we were fine down in Manila, but they got it much worse up north.
Lovely waterfall top, perfect for layering over this skirt. Have a lovely Thursday.

Doused In Pink
Thanks Jill…I’ll be there with bells on!
Hi Shellie, I think you look good in a maxi . I’m 5ft 5in and like you am not sure if a maxi works for me, but this outfit looks quite in proportion thanks to the length of the top. Have been watching the news about the typhoon – you could have been hit much worse I suppose. Thanks for dropping by my blog!

Thanks Anna, I guess I usually go for outfits that are a little more structured, but it’s also nice to mix things up from time to time. Yes, some areas of northern Philippines were badly flooded, but Manila was sparred.
Loving this easy look, enjoy your time in Manila.
