Gray is on the color palette for Fall. It felt appropriate for me to do something in gray this week since it’s been raining outside since last night. Here in Manila we are experiencing the fringe of a typhoon that is passing over the northern part of our island.
The diagonal cut of this leopard print, flowing blouse plays nicely against the straight line of the gray maxi skirt. This outfit would also look cute layered with a short denim jacket.
I paired the gray leopard blouse with two Kendra Scott necklaces: a gorgeous tasseled pendant necklace and a antiqued choker style. Her jewelry is made with such quality and attention to detail.
Gray doesn’t have to be boring. Just remember to add a few special accessories and details to hold visual interest.
Speaking of gray, how is everyone adjusting to the shorter days and cooler temperatures? I was on the road last night on the way back from airport. It felt like eight-thirty, but it was only six!
I’m still trying to decide if I really like maxi skirts. I know a lot of woman really like them because of the coverage and comfort, but I’m not 100% sold on the concept for me. What do you all think…yes or no?

Such a great way to transition a maxi for fall! I really like how you added a flowy top, something I have never considered. It looks terrific! Thanks for linking up with Fabulous Friday, Shellie!

You look great in grey – love the pretty leopard top!
Thank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you next week.
I like that maxi skirt on you…it might look even better with a not so flowy top? It could be that you’re on the fence because there’s a lot of material going on? jodie
Inlve the shades of grey and the visual interest the top provides.
Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. I hope the typhoon does not cause too much damage and everyone is fine.
Hi Nicole, we were fine down in Manila, but they got it much worse up north.
Lovely waterfall top, perfect for layering over this skirt. Have a lovely Thursday.
Like you, I am a woman of faith who is blessed by God. Love your outfit this week! Kendra Scott lives up the road from me. Doesn’t she have great things? Brenda
Hi Brenda, I am so glad you stopped by. I just visited your site and I love to see how you are living out your faith in a real and relevant way. That’s what I try to do here at The FABulous Journey as well. Oh yes, I love me some Kendra Scott!

Doused In Pink
Thanks Jill…I’ll be there with bells on!
Hi Shellie, I think you look good in a maxi . I’m 5ft 5in and like you am not sure if a maxi works for me, but this outfit looks quite in proportion thanks to the length of the top. Have been watching the news about the typhoon – you could have been hit much worse I suppose. Thanks for dropping by my blog!
Thanks Anna, I guess I usually go for outfits that are a little more structured, but it’s also nice to mix things up from time to time. Yes, some areas of northern Philippines were badly flooded, but Manila was sparred.
Loving this easy look, enjoy your time in Manila.
I LOVE this! Something about the beautiful black necklace with your dark hair just looks stunning, plus it looks so comfortable!! Hope your week is off to a great start beautiful lady!
That’s one thing you can always count on with maxi skirts and that’s comfort!
Cute outfit! Love the necklace!
I love this look and want to wear it the minute I get back to Florida! You look fab and thanks for linking up.
Yes, that’s the beauty of Florida!
