In the last few days, there has been a lot of discussion about wearing white after Labor Day. This is an interesting topic for a girl who grew up in Florida and who now lives in a tropical country. The whole “no white after Labor Day” debate is primarily a geographical one. If your climate hardly changes, neither should your color choices.
Slit Maxi Dress
This monochromatic two slit maxi dress is a great option for wearing over white leggings. White leggings add a crisp, fresh look, but they can also give the illusion of width if not paired properly. This style allows for a cute peekaboo look without adding any extra bulk to your frame.
The loose design of this dress is also figure-flattering because it flows over the body and the tummy area.
I also paired this dress with a white shape wear tank. When dressing, make sure to finish your look by considering the underarm area. By adding a simple tank, I not only give this outfit a streamlined look from head to toe, but I also cover an area that is a consideration for fashion over 40.
A long pendant necklace is the perfect compliment to this long shirt dress. I am wearing a gorgeous Kendra Scott pendant necklace and a collection of Brighton bangles. The Alfani ballet flats give this outfit a finished look. You can find a similar pair here.
