image - beauty bargains I loveHave you ever strolled down the aisle of the cosmetics department to look for a tube of mascara only to find yourself staring at 100’s of different formulas and brands? It can be tough to find something that actually works for you.

We all know the saying, “You get what you pay for,” and in some cases, a higher price does equate to a better product. But, this is not always true. There are some inexpensive beauty products that really give bang for the buck! When it comes to beauty products, I am a big believer in using whatever works and the cheaper, the better.

My make-up bag is a real mix of high-end and low end brands. In fact, some of my favorite, go-to items are drug-store brands.

Here are some beauty bargains I love!

Beauty Bargains I Love

Blistex Ultra Rich HydrationΒ ($3.99) – I have this in my purse at all times. It really helps to keep your lips from getting chapped and it is a lot less waxy than some of the other brands.

Maybelline Ultra Liner Waterproof Liquid Liner ($7.99)Β – I like to wear liquid liner on my top lid and a pencil liner on the bottom. This liner is, by far, the best I have found and it stays on all day.

Ulta Brow Eye Makers Pencil ($3.99) – I haven’t found another brand to beat this one for the price. Make sure to look for a color that is one shade lighter than your natural brow color.

Revlon Cream BlushΒ  ($13.99) – I know that a cream blush may sound a little scary to some of you who fear you will come out looking like a baby doll. But, I have used this blush for years. It blends really well and is especially good when you are in a hurry and just want to add a little color to your face before you head out the door.

These four items are some of my beauty basics. They are all long-lasting, so they only put me back about $30.00 a year. Leave a comment and let me know what beauty bargains are in your bag.

Thanks to all of you who have been reading my posts regularly. You are such an encouragement to me!

So what brand of mascara do you use? They discontinued my favorite several years ago and I still haven’t found a go-to replacement.

For drugstore brands, I find Loreal to be the best bet. Funny enough, I seldom have to buy mascara because it is often included in the combo sets of my higher end makeup.
