Don’t you hate it when you come across an unflattering picture of yourself or discover you can no longer squeeze into your favorite pair of pants? And then it hits you, that wave of disappointment; wondering how did I let myself gain all this weight again?! If this is you, I can tell you I’ve been right there with you…many, many times.
I am convinced that diets are ineffective, short-term solutions to losing weight. Instead of looking for another diet or another workout plan, it’s time to alter your relationship with food and get off of the weight roller coaster for good.
In November, 2014, I started looking at food in a whole new way. I explored my thoughts, assumptions and expectations until I figured out what made me tick with food. I have taken everything I’ve learned and blogged about for the last year and a half and put it in one book. Not only that, but I set it up as a workbook with practical exercises and tips to help you along your way.
I know you may be thinking it’s hopeless by now and trust me, I know exactly how you feel…because I felt exactly the same way. Until the light finally dawned and I realized that I had always tackled the weight without ever considering the thoughts, expectations and assumptions that caused me put the weight on in the first place.
God helped take weight off its pedestal in my head. Now, I am living fully and freely in Him.
