Last week I made my first visit to stunning Singapore! Although I have lived in Asia for over 20 years, this was my first chance to experience this fabulous place. I traveled there with four colleagues to attend the Litt World Literature Conference. Although we were technically there for the conference, I also got to see several parts of this unique city/state.

Stunning Singapore

Singapore has only been a country for only 50 years. In fact, they are currently celebrating their 50-Year Golden Jubilee! The whole country actually only spans 276  square miles, which is roughly half the size of Los Angelos.

The population of the country is ethnically diverse, so their food choices are amazing. You could eat  Chinese food for one meal and then have Middle Eastern shwarma the next!

I was impressed by the unique architecture and their amazing underground metro system. It almost made me breathless watching the Singaporeans rush from one place to the next…no time for the weary in this bustling place!

If you have never visited Asia, I would highly recommend you add Singapore to your travel itinerary. Not only is this little country breathtakingly beautiful, they have huge array of fabulous tourist destinations.

From Gardens By The Bay to Universal Studios, there is no shortage of sites to see and experience. In fact, we only scratched the surface of what this amazing country has to offer.
