While some of you have been doing the Fall thing for weeks, we finally got our first taste of cool weather in central Florida this weekend. I really enjoy the cooler temperatures and a break from the humidity. However, it’s tricky to dress for weather that swings from 50 degrees in the morning to 80 degrees by midday.

Denim Jacket Transitions Outfit

The denim jacket is a great transition piece for Fall. Not only does the denim jacket add warmth when the temperature starts to drop, it also provides a strong focal point when paired with less structured fabrics.

The denim jacket is figure flattering on many women because of it’s strong vertical seams and tailoring.

I wore this asymmetrical skirt over a year ago for a summer look. This time, I wore it with a Nygard studded tank I picked up at the Tampa Dillard’s outlet.

I chose my favorite stainless steel and silver jewelry pieces as the perfect complement to this look. This heart necklace from Brighton is one of my favorite new pieces. I have owned several Brighton pieces for years and they have held up beautifully, even when subjected to the harsh tropical climate of the Philippines.

I like this denim jacket so much that I just recently bought another dark washed one at the Loft outlet last week. I’m sure you will be seeing it in the next several weeks.

If you don’t already have one, I think it’s time you put a denim jacket on your look list. You will love the versatility and the added shape it can instantly provide for a host of outfit combinations.
