Vacations always seem to have the best memories! There always seems to be something funny or something that goes wrong. It may not seem funny at the time, but it is when you look back on it. We have had tears running down our faces from laughing so hard. That is what it is all about!!!

Hi Shellie, nice to meet you. This is a great article and it is so true! We have many laughs about a family vacation to Virginia one spring. It was freezing cold and we were the only ones on the beach, wrapped up in blankets. After a trip to Williamsburg, the kids revolted, refusing to eat any more “old”
(meaning historic) food!

We find fun in the little things, too. Luckily, no big mishaps. Our favorite was seeing all the valets at a hotel getting out of a Ford Focus. It looked like a clown car. It’s a joke that is still running 10 yrs later.

What you say is so true. A blogger was just saying the same thing as they were frustrated with family vacation mishaps. That when they look back it will probably make the best memories.

whenever our “kids” get together with the cousins at family Christmas events, all the stories are about the mischief they got up to while their aunt and I obliviously drank coffee together.
